Cobalt Companion is a support tool for individuals on a low-cobalt diet. A food journal lets you track your daily cobalt intake. You can browse though the food groups to see which foods are the lowest or highest in cobalt, and you can search for a particular food and drill down into its data to understand how its cobalt content varies. The data is a compilation of many sources, including national food studies and scientific journal articles. The average values are weighted to your location so that the samples most geographically relevant to you are given priority. No internet connection is required.
Note: The low-cobalt diet is not for weight loss. It is intended for use by individuals with a diagnosed cobalt allergy.
If you don't use an Android device, you can run Cobalt Companion by using the BlueStacks Android emulator on your Mac (MacOS Sierra or higher) or Windows PC. If you don't have a Google account, you'll need to create one so that you can sign into Google on the BlueStacks emulator to get access to the Google Play store. After installing BlueStacks, go to the My Apps tab, click the System App icon, then select Google Play. In the Play store, search for Cobalt Companion in the search bar, install and open!
